Previous: Run Through the Colorado Roster
No. 16 - Tyler McGarry
6-foot, 210-pounds
Quarterback
Redshirt Freshman
Studio City, Calif.
Notre Dame H.S.
McGarry is a walk on quarterback that redshirted last season. He dressed for three games last season. He enrolled at CU during the fall of 2015.
No. 15 - Sam Noyer
6-foot-4, 210-pounds
Quarterback
Redshirt Freshman
Beaverton, Ore.
Beaverton H.S.
As a senior in high school, Noyer threw for 2,801 yards and 28 touchdowns on his way to being ranked the No. 1 quarterback in the state of Oregon. Noyer redshirted in 2016, but he plays a pivotal role for the Buffaloes this season as the backup to Steven Montez. Noyer is a very personable young man and has been impressive during the rare times the media has been able to watch him in 2017. The future is very bright for Noyer on and off the field.
No. 15 - Chris Graham
6-foot-3, 235-pounds
Kicker
Redshirt Senior
Burlingame, Calif.
Burlingame H.S.
Graham is currently in a battle with James Stefanou for the kicking job, and while coach MacIntyre has not named a starter as of Tuesday morning, it seems like Stefanou is the favorite for the job. Last season, Graham was 10-of-14 on field goals with a long of 46 yards and 8-of-10 on PATs.
No. 14 - Jay MacIntyre
5-foot-10, 185-pounds
Wide Receiver
Redshirt Junior
Boulder, Colo.
Monarch H.S.
MacIntyre caught 30 passes for 390 yards and a touchdown last season, and even with the emergence of Kabion Ento, we expect the MacIntyre to see his fair share of passes thrown his way. MacIntyre is a go-to receiver on third downs - working from the slot in a four-wide set.
No. 13 - Shamar Hamilton
6-foot-3, 225-pounds
Outside Linebacker
Junior
Lantana, Fla.
ASA College of Miami/Santaluces H.S.
Hamilton starts the season on the injury report with a banged up knee. The extent of his injury is currently unknown. Hamilton signed with Colorado in December and enrolled to participate in spring drills.
No. 12 - Steven Montez
6-foot-5, 225-pounds
Quarterback
Redshirt Sophomore
El Paso, Texas
Del Valle H.S.
Montez started against Oregon, Oregon State, and USC last season - filling in for Sefo Liufau, who is now pursuing a career in the NFL. He played in 10 games in total, throwing for 1,017 yards and nine touchdowns. The future is very bright for Montez as he has complete reign of the Colorado offense. He has an experienced line to block for him, one of the top running backs in the country in Phillip Lindsay, and one of the, if not the, best wide receiver corps in the country. 2017 could be a very special year for the redshirt sophomore.
