Previous: Run Through The Colorado Roster
No. 93 - Michael Mathewes
6-foot-4, 260-pounds
Defensive End
Redshirt Junior
Mission Viejo, Calif.
Mission Viejo H.S.
Mathewes redshirted his freshman year at Colorado in 2014, and played in nine games as a redshirt freshman, which included a start against Nicholls State. He had six tackles in that game and had a sack and forced fumble. In 2016, Mathewes saw action in just two games - against Idaho State and Oregon State. Expectations are low for Mathewes in 2017 as he's a bit buried on the depth chart. He was not listed on CU's spring game depth chart.
No. 91 - Eddy Lopez
6-foot- 3, 310-pounds
Defensive Tackle
Redshirt Junior
El Paso, Texas
Coronado H.S.
Lopez came out of high school with one other offer besides Colorado, coming from UTEP, but he played a role as true freshman in 2014 as he played in 11 games. He played a season-high 22 snaps against USC and recorded two assisted tackles. Lopez's sophomore season was ended short as he suffered a foot injury, and Lopez did not play in 2016. Lopez was listed as the No. 4 defensive tackle on CU's spring game depth chart, and we figure he will be in the rotation this fall to get playing time.
No. 90 - Terriek Roberts
6-foot-6, 255-pounds
Defensive End
Redshirt Freshman
Denver, Colo.
South H.S.
Roberts was a two-way lineman from South H.S. in Denver and chose the Buffs over Arizona State, Colorado State, and others. Roberts practiced with the Buffs in 2016 at defensive end and took a redshirt season. He was listed as the No. 3 left defensive end on CU's spring game depth chart.
No. 89 - Alex Kinney
6-foot-1, 205-pounds
Punter
Junior
Fort Collins, Colo.
Rocky Mountain H.S.
Kinney was rated as the three-star recruit by Rivals.com in the class of 2015. Kinney is Colorado's lone scholarship punter and he has started for the Buffs the past two seasons. He averaged 41.3 yards per punt and had eight punts over 50 yards in 2016.
No. 87 - Xavier Cochrane
5-foot-9. 170-pounds
Wide Receiver
Junior
Phoenix, Ariz.
Mountain Pointe
Cochrane is a walk on receiver for the Buffs, who arrived in Boulder in 2014. He suffered an ankle sprain and did not play his freshman season. In 2016, Cochrane played for the first time in his career when CU routed Idaho State.
