No. 43 - Chris Bounds

6-foot-4, 240-pounds

Tight End

Redshirt Sophomore

Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Chaminade College Prep

Bounds saw action in 12 games last year for the Buffaloes but recorded just one reception for eight yards against Idaho State. Bounds also was a regular special team player and had two tackles. The tight end competition is wide open for the Buffs, and Bounds can step up and grab the No. 1 role.

No. 42 - N.J. Falo

6-foot-2, 240-pounds

Outside Linebacker

Junior

Sacramento, Calif.

Inderkum H.S.

Falo played as a true freshman for the Buffs in 2015, recording 17 tackles. Last season, Falo did not start a game but saw action in 11 games after serving a three-game suspension for violation of team rules. Falo is slated to start as an outside linebacker for a Colorado defense that lost a lot of firepower, and he will be vital for CU to have success stopping opposing offenses in the Pac-12.

No. 39 - Jaisen Sanchez

Redshirt Junior (?)

Kapolei, Hawai'i

St. Louis H.S.

Sanchez missed the entire 2016 season after suffering an injury to his knee. This year, he will be a redshirt junior for the Buffaloes; however, he could be granted a sixth year of eligibility by applying for a medical redshirt. Sanchez practiced this spring and was listed as a backup free safety to Nick Fisher.
