THE COMMITMENT

Jynes' commitment to Colorado was expected with the connections he has to Colorado. His cousin, KD Nixon, signed with the Buffs in the class of 2017, as did Jynes' good friend Laviska Shenault.

Jynes visited Colorado last fall with Nixon and Shenault and visited for the Buffs' junior day on Saturday. The day before, he got to know what the city of Boulder will be like.

The commitment came on Tuesday afternoon right after Jynes talked with Buffs' head coach Mike MacIntyre.

Colorado is the only Power Five Conference school to offer Jynes, but Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Jackson State, and UTSA did offer.

Moving forward, we imagine that Jynes will be a very solid commitment for the Buffs. Now that he is a CU commit, he will pop on to other schools' radar, so it will be interesting to see if he receives more P5 offers this spring during the evaluation period.
