Why was it important?
Colorado started out the game strong against Michigan causing the Wolverines to punt on their first drive, which the Buffs then followed up with a touchdown pass to Devin Ross and then they made a season-changing fumble recovery to put the Buffs up by two scores. The "Big House" was in shock as Colorado was dominating their team. This play showed everyone that once again Colorado's defense was going to be a force to be reckoned with this past season. After this play, Colorado as a team was pumped up and continued to make big plays against Michigan. Not only would this play put Colorado up by two scores against the No. 4 ranked team but it would also be the last game we would see Derek McCartney play in the 2016 season.
