Colorado made one of its key additions of the offseason on what has become an important weekend for Deion Sanders and his staff. Jordan Domineck announced his commitment to the Buffs in the early hours Sunday morning giving CU another vital piece to its defensive line for the upcoming season.

Domineck was one of the most accomplished transfer players on campus in Boulder this weekend, and now he will add a high-level and productive player to the CU defensive front. The 6-foot-3 edge rusher, who started his career at Georgia Tech, shined in what will be his only season at Arkansas.

He finished 2022 with 7.5 sacks, which was good enough to put him third on the SEC sacks list by the end of the season. He also collected 9.5 tackles for loss and 34 total tackles with the Razorbacks.

One of his sacks came in his Arkansas debut when he made his way into the backfield and stripped Cincinnati quarterback Ben Bryant in the fourth quarter.

Domineck's success at Arkansas had fans of that program excited when it seemed he would be returning for one last season in 2023. Instead of returning to Fayetteville, however, he opted to explore his options and entered the transfer portal earlier this month.

The new Buffs defensive lineman had at least two tackles in 10 of the 13 games he played in during 2022 despite not logging a single start. His best performance came against Missouri State in September when he had 2.5 sacks and 7 tackles.

He had 5 tackles against Mississippi State and 3 tackles in games against Texas A&M, LSU and Kansas.

Domineck will head to Boulder with 137 career tackles over the course of 44 games. He started 15 games during his time at Georgia Tech. He has 16.5 career sacks and 27 tackles for loss giving new CU defensive ends coach Nick Williams a proven player to plug into the lineup.

CU has added two defensive line transfers this weekend with Domineck joining Michigan's Taylor Upshaw as the latest additions for the Buffs. Upshaw, also a graduate transfer, announced his pledge to CU Saturday evening.

Colorado has now added commitments or signatures from over 40 new players since Sanders and his staff took over the program early last month.
