Colorado keeping tabs on Keithan Gooden

The Colorado Buffaloes were the first school to offer Keithan Gooden, a three-star athlete from Calabasas (Calif.), last year. It wasn't until March 5 when he received his next offers coming from Iowa State and Colorado State on the same day.

Gooden says that he's still keeping in touch with CU running backs coach Darian Hagan "from time to time."

"Hagan offered me as an athlete," Gooden said. "I think that he’s a great coach and person overall and knows what he’s doing.

"He's a great coach and even better person. The conversations with him are good. We just talk about the future at Colorado, and how I fit into their system and things that they have going on at the University now."

Gooden reports that on the same day he earned the offer from CU last year, the Buffs also offered his younger brother, Larry Turner, who is a prospect in the class of 2022.

"I actually grew up watching Colorado," Gooden said. "I’ve seen a couple of coach Hagan’s highlights too."

As a junior in 2017, Gooden rushed for 633 yards and 11 touchdowns on 106 carries. He also caught 22 passes for 180 yards and a score. Gooden also played some defensive back last season.
