Colorado Football Signee: Dimitri Stanley

There was late concern that Greenwood Village (Colo.) Cherry Creek athlete Dimitri Stanley wasn't going to stick with the Buffaloes after taking an official visit to Washington this past weekend. However, Stanley signed with Colorado today and will play at CU, just like his father Walter Stanley did. Stanley will likely play wide receiver in the black and gold but could play cornerback. He's very good in the return game and can be utilized well on all sorts of trick plays. Stanley chose the Buffs over offers from Arizona State, Washington, Nebraska, and many others.

Quotable: "I sat down with my parents, and we had a long discussion about it," Stanley said following his summer commitment. "My top four was Colorado, Arizona State, Utah, and CSU. It came down pretty close, but Colorado is just a beautiful place. I can see myself there for four years. It also came down to opportunity to play early. I'll have a chance to play, possibly start, as a true freshman at Colorado. The atmosphere, being around the coaches, and being around the players at Colorado just felt good and like it was the right place for me."
