Abrams ready to 'give it his all' at Colorado

The Buffs landed a solid commitment from the junior college ranks on Friday evening as Independence (Kansas) Community College cornerback Delrick Abrams pledged a commitment to Colorado.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pounder chose Colorado over finalists Mississippi State and Oklahoma State, but Abrams also held offers from the likes of UCLA, West Virginia, and Arkansas.
"One reason I picked them is because I felt comfortable there," Abrams told CUSportsNation.com. "They do the same stuff [on defense] that I do right now. When I went to visit, it just felt like home."

Abrams informed the Colorado coaching staff his intentions to commit on Friday, and they were excited about their new defensive back.
"I talked to everybody - wide receivers coach, defensive coordinator, head coach - just everybody," Abrams said. "They were saying that it's a great fit for me to come there.
"They never really pushed me to commit. They never said, 'Go ahead and commit, commit.' They never pressured me. I felt comfortable, and they have a good program."
Abrams is ready to get to work at Colorado in the spring of 2018 as he is enrolling early at Colorado.
"I'm going to give it my all when I'm on the field," Abrams said. "If you see me around, I'm a happy person; I speak to everybody. I'm trying to get a ring and win the national championship."
Abrams will come to Colorado as a junior with a redshirt year available. He is originally from Louisiana.
