THE COMMITMENT
Colorado was the second program to offer Abrams as they extended an offer to him on April 20. Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, West Virginia, Arizona State, and others followed suit in offering the 6-foot-3, 180-pounder as well.
Abrams narrowed down his recruitment to three schools on July 6 with Colorado, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma State making the final cut. He visited all three of those schools, but Abrams was the only school that he visited officially.
Abrams was offered by Colorado defensive coordinator DJ Eliot and grew a close relationship with Eliot over the course of his recruitment. He also has become close with his future cornerbacks coach ShaDon Brown.
The three-star 2018 recruit chose the Buffs on Friday, and he will come to Boulder as a true junior (three years to play two). Abrams will graduate in December and enroll at CU in January.
