Rocky Mountain Showdown for McBride

Fort Morgan (Colo.) tight end Trey McBride has a lot on his mind when it comes to recruiting.

It's a Rocky Mountain Showdown in McBride's recruitment.

"I'm still not entirely sure what I want to do yet," McBride said. "I'm kind of stuck between CU and CSU right now. I'm up in the air with them. I'm still considering other schools, but those are my main ones right now because they're the ones I talk to the most.

Another school that the 6-foot-4, 235-pounder, who can also play outside linebacker at the next level, is another Pac-12 school that has offered him.

"I plan on going out to Cal this summer," McBride said. "I want to see what they're all about. They came out and visited me - two of their coaches during two different times. I did a short workout in front of them and they saw me move around a little bit. It was good to meet them. After the visit, everything could change with them or what not."

McBride's older brother, Toby McBride, plays for the Rams, and McBride admits that his brother plays a role in his recruitment.

"Yeah it does," said McBride. "He wants me to go play with him. He wants me to stay in-state with him and go be a part of that football team, but on the other hand, I'm also considering staying in-state with CU and playing against him. He's playing a role in it, but he's not forcing me or pressuring me too hard to make a decision to play with him."
