Kothe shocked by Colorado offer
Las Vegas (Nev.) Faith Lutheran wide receiver Elijah Kothe already had several division one offers, but he did not have a Power Five Conference offer.
That changed this past Thursday as the 6-foot-4, 195-pound 2018 recruit landed an offer from the Colorado Buffaloes. Kothe is being recruited by Colorado defensive line coach Jim Jeffcoat.
Jeffcoat was at Kothe's school last week to inquire about Kothe. This led to Kothe receiving the CU offer.
"I was just really excited," Kothe said. "I was really pumped up. I was really excited and fired up for it. I was ecstatic and a little bit shocked too."
Kothe wasn't able to talk much with Jeffcoat due to NCAA rules, but Kothe has a good early impression of Jeffcoat.
"He seemed cool," Kothe said about Jeffcoat. "He couldn't talk to me too much because of the NCAA rules, but he seemed cool."
