Defensive Linemen

Defensive Ends

1. Jordan Carrell, 6-foot-3, 300, Senior

1. Samson Kafovalu, 6-foot-4, 295, Junior

2. Timothy Coleman, 6-foot-3, 250, Junior

2. Jase Franke, 6-foot-3, 260, Sophomore

3. Frank Umu, 6-foot-4, 280, RS Freshman

3. Leo Jackson III, 6-foot-3, 275, Junior

Nose Tackle

1. Josh Tupou, 6-foot-3, 325, Senior

2. Michael Mathewes, 6-foot-3, 260, Sophomore

3. Brett Tonz, 6-foot-3, 285, RS Freshman

Our Take: Having Jordan Carrell who played in 784 plays last year recording 52 tackles along with the return of Samson Kafovalu provides plenty of veteran experience. Throw in 325 pound Josh Tupou at defensive tackle, Colorado not only looks good on paper, these three a very, very good. Quality of depth will be answered as we move forward, for now it's easy to be excited about the starters in the trenches.

The Grade: B+
