Colorado officially has one draft prospect off the board as Chidobe Awuzie was picked by the Dallas Cowboys with the No. 60 pick in the NFL Draft. At Colorado Awuzie had nine career sacks the most by any defensive back, he also totaled 65 tackles this season with one interception. The Cowboys are getting a versatile player in Awuzie, a guy who can play nickel, corner or safety.

Awuzie is going to have an immediate impact for Dallas. He has an uncanny athletic ability to make plays and showed his speed during the combine. At Colorado, Awuzie was only flagged two times for pass interference in his whole career as a Buff, what Awuzie needs to work on his is the ability to create passes defended into interceptions, Awuzie only had three interceptions in his four years at Colorado.

A four-year starter at Colorado, Awuzie had 265 total tackles, 23 for loss and 13 pass breakups. Last season, Awuzie was awarded Pac-12 Second Team defense and was a part of Colorado's star-studded secondary. Awuzie is the first draft pick since Paul Richardson in 2014.
