First offer in the Mel Tucker regime goes to...
At least, to our knowledge, Gilbert (Ariz.) Perry tight end Kyle Patterson was the first recruit to receive a new scholarship offer from Colorado since Mel Tucker became Colorado's new head coach last Wednesday. The 6-foot-6, 235-pounder has blown up a bit lately, as Syracuse and Washington have also offered him in December. Patterson was offered by recruiting assistant Michael Slife.
New offer out in Michigan
While out recruiting in Michigan on Monday, Mel Tucker's staff dished out a new offer to Belleville (Mich.) linebacker Marvin Ham, who is currently committed to Boston College. Ham officially visited BC this past weekend, and the Colorado staff will surely hope to get Ham on campus this weekend.
Darius Robinson top four
Canton (Mich.) defensive end Darius Robinson is one of the top uncommitted prospects in the Midwest and will be a tough get for the Buffaloes. Reports that Kwahn Drake is being retained by Mel Tucker will help CU's chances here though. Robinson placed the Buffaloes in his top four, along with Michigan, Missouri, and Minnesota.
Mangham receives in-home visit from Tucker, Hagan
Mel Tucker made an in-home visit with running backs coach Darian Hagan, who he is retaining, to check in on Rivals250 four-star running back Jaren Mangham. With Hagan remaining on staff, Mangham is locked in with the Buffaloes, and all indications are that this in-home visit went very well.
Are Titus Toler's days as a CU commit numbered?
Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco defensive back Titus Toler officially visited Wisconsin over the weekend. He spoke with Badgerblitz.com on the Rivals network about his recruitment and where he stands with Colorado. Read their story below.
Evans flips to NC State
Monument (Colo.) Palmer Ridge QB Ty Evans was committed to Arkansas, but Bret Bielema was fired. Then Evans committed to Colorado, but Mike MacIntyre was fired. Evans made commitment No. 3 on Monday as he switched his pledge from CU to N.C. State, a school that he officially visited this past weekend.
