PAC 12 Offensive Player of the Year - Jake Browning, Washington QB

Husky Quarterback Jake Browning who is just a sophomore has thrown for 3,162-yards and 40 touchdowns. Obviously, in the clip below, Washington State provided him too much time in the pocket as Browning went through his progression before threading the football to his receiver for a big touchdown pass in the first quarter.

Down 14-3 Washington State only sent a three-man rush, which gave Browning way too much time in the pocket and Browning reels back and fires another touchdown pass to Dante Pettis. Pettis has caught for 49 passes for 787-yards and 14 touchdowns.

Washington Running Back Myles Gaskin

Myles Gaskin (1st team all PAC 12) is a 5-foot-10, 195 pound back that is one of the best in the PAC 12. He's rushed for 198 carries for 1,180-yards and scored 10 touchdowns. Don't expect him to haul in many receptions out of the backfield as he's only caught 13 passes for 73-yards through 12 games. Gaskin has been shown on film to make the first defender miss and turn it up the field, very dangerous running back if you do not wrap up.

Washington has another running back that is also dangerous is Lavon Coleman. Coleman is bigger than Gaskin at 5-foot-11 and 228 pounds and also very capable of busting off the big play. On the season Gaskin has rushed for 735-yards and 6 touchdowns. He's a power runner obviously, that runs well in space.

Watch For Greg Gaines

Washington has a massive defensive lineman in Greg Gaines (No.99) who makes plays all game long. The sophomore out of La Habra, California is 6-foot-2 and 318 pounds. Gaines has played in all 12 games and has 28 tackles, 7.5 for loss, and 3.5 sacks.

Washington's Defense

The Huskies have come up with 36 sacks this season and forced 16 interceptions. There are playmakers all over the field. In fact, Washington has 4 players from the defense that were selected to All PAC 12 Team.

Special Teams Is Excellent

Dante Pettis has returned punts for touchdowns this year. The clip below was the game winner against Utah is a very tight game. John Ross who returns kicks has returned 1 for a touchdown, and their field goal kicker C. Van Winkle is 14 of 18 this year hitting 5 of 8 from 40-49-yards, his longest is from 45-yards out.
