A trio of former Colorado Buffaloes will get to impress NFL Scouts and a bevy of media members this week, as Shrine Game practices begin on Monday
The Shrine Game kicks off at 1:07 p.m. MT on Saturday and can be viewed on the NFL Network, but the week of practices is just as important as the game itself. This week is all about impressing NFL scouts in hopes to getting picked in this spring's NFL draft or get signed as an undrafted free agent.
Wide receiver Bryce Bobo, safety Afolabi Laguda, and running back Phillip Lindsay are in in St. Petersburg, Florida for the week. They'll be coached by a staff full of NFL coaches ahead of the game this Saturday.
Bobby Johnson from the Oakland Raiders will be the head coach for the west team. He is a 23-year coaching veteran at both the professional and collegiate levels and has spent the past three seasons (2015-17) as the Raiders’ tight ends coach. Prior to joining Oakland’s staff, Johnson spent five seasons with the Detroit Lions (2013-14), Jacksonville Jaguars (2013) and Buffalo Bills (2010-11).
According to nfldraftscout.com, all three Buffs are projected to be either seventh round or undrafted prospects, but there really aren't many draft projections out there at this time, so it's hard to know what their stock actually is. Bobo, Laguda, and Linday all obviously have a great chance to impress scouts this week.
