The Top 3: Colorado Running Back Targets
Mike Singer
CUSportsNation.com

For the next couple of weeks, CUSportsNation.com is going position by position and taking a look at the top three targets that Colorado has offered a scholarship.

Could we go with all four and five star prospects? Sure. But we're looking at the top options that have mutual and legitimate interest in Colorado.

Note: We're skipping the quarterback position because Colorado is locked in with Blake Stenstrom. ... This article is our analysis of the top recruits and may not directly coincide with the Colorado's big board of recruits.

Running back outlook: With Phillip Lindsay graduating after the 2017 season and Kyle Evans' future in question due to his unfortunate injury, Colorado is looking at a couple of running backs to bring in for the 2018 season. CU has Max Borghi committed, and they could bring in a junior college running back to provide immediate depth.

No. 3 - Brock Sturges

Rundown: Sturges is a dynamic running back and helped lead Allen H.S. to a 14-1 record in 2016. His offer list is long, but the Buffs sit in a good spot in his recruitment. Sturges says that the Buffs are one of the schools that are recruiting him the hardest.

Sturges is being recruited by ace recruiter Darrin Chiaverini from CU, and Colorado signed Will Sherman in the 2017 class, who was Sturges' teammate at Allen.

Next up for Sturges is checking out Colorado in early June, potentially on June 5, as he told the Arizona rivals.com website.
