The Magic Is Back For Colorado Football

This is simply unbelievable. After Saturday evening’s 38-24 victory over No. 22 Washington State, the Colorado Buffaloes, now 9-2 have an opportunity to be 10 game winners in 2016. How rare is this? Well, Colorado Football has been around since 1890 and has won 10 games in a season just seven other times. The most recent was in 2001 under Gary Barnett when the Buffs reached the Fiesta Bowl.

As students poured down onto the field Saturday night at Folsom Field to surround their beloved Buffs after a thrilling game that was on National TV on the Fox Sports Network, you can only imagine how the students and the seniors on this Colorado Football Team must be feeling. If you’re a senior on the roster this was your record coming into the 2016 season: 10-27.

This is your record going into November of 2016: 9-2. No one is overlooking Utah who just lost to Oregon today 30-28, but you have to like the Buffs’ chances to reach the PAC 12 Title Game. All they have to do is beat Utah at home next weekend, a game that will again be at Folsom Field and again be covered by Fox at 5:30PM.

While the game is during the Thanksgiving Break, Folsom should still be rocking with over 50,000 fans, there was a total of 48,658 fans in attendance on Saturday which is the biggest home crowd in the Mike MacIntyre era.
