Team Colorado vs. Overseas Elite

New York, New York - Team Colorado will play against Overseas Elite on Tuesday, August 2nd for The Basketball Tournament Championship. The winner gets a cool 2 Million Dollars. So how does this work and what exactly is it? According to the website TheTournament.com, the tournament is an open-application 5-on-5 single elimination winner take all basketball tournament. The roster must be 18-years or old, there is no fee to enter, 64 teams make the bracket, and rosters sizes are up to 16 with a maximum of 11 players.
The Selection Process is composed by off votes, at large bids, the defending champ gets an automatic bid, and the final slots are awarded to teams that raise the most money for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America GoFundMe Contest. The 64 teams are split into 4 regional brackets: West games were in Los Angeles, CA., South games were in Charlotte, N.C., Midwest games were in in Chicago, IL., and Northeast games were held in Philadelphia, PA. The regional tournament games were held from July 9 through July 17.
The Super 16 games were held from July 21 through July 23rd in Philadelphia the final 4 and championship games move to New York with the finals being on Tuesday, August 2nd and are televised on ESPN at 5PM ET.
The prize money of 2 Million is split up. 90% goes to the GM, Coaches, Boosters, and the Players, 10% goes to the Top 100 Fans of the Winning Team. Top fan will get 20K, 4 additional fans will get 10K, 15 fans will get 4K, and 80 more fans will get 1K in prize money.

Overseas Elite defeated Showtime in round 1 97-75, then beat HBC 91-84, beat Ram Nation 91-80, then beat Trained to 74-66, and beat City of Gods the No. 1 seed 103-92 in the semifinals. The team is composed of players from across the country and coached by Colin Curtin who's alma mater is Niagara University.
