Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Valor Christian quarterback Blake Stenstrom received a scholarship offer to play football at the University of Colorado last summer, and he jumped on the opportunity to be the Buffs' class of 2018 quarterback back in December.

The 6-foot-3, 202-pound three-star recruit is enjoying the committed life.

"It's going really well," Stenstrom said. "I'm still firmly committed. I was up at CU for a couple days last week, and it really solidified everything. I'm all in."

One of the days that Stenstrom spent in Boulder was participating in a recruit camp that the CU staff was hosting.

"It was really great," he said. "I got to have a lot of one-on-one time with coach Lindgren and coach Chiaverini. We worked on quarterback drills and concepts. I got to throw to some of the receivers already at CU - Juwann Winfree and guys like Bryce Bobo and Phillip Lindsay were catching."

Throwing with top-notch college receivers was a great experience for Stenstrom.

"It was awesome. It felt really good," Stenstrom said. "A way that I've developed my game definitely gets better when you throw to guys like that. Juwann was a beast. He's fast, big, and runs great routes. He was awesome."
