Sleepers from Recent Classes
, 2004)- The Kauai (Hawaii) Waimea native was ranked by Rivals.com as the eighth best fullback prospect from his class, but it was at linebacker where Dizon made a name for himself this fall. He enjoyed one of the finest seasons by a true freshman in school history, as he was CU's first true frosh to ever be recognized with the conference's Defensive Newcomer of the Year. Rivals.com also selected him second-team Freshman All-American. Dizon finished third on the team with 82 tackles.
, 2004)- If not for the depth at linebacker, Jones would have certainly seen playing time as a true freshman. His upside is tremendous and he was one of the more impressive underclassmen in practice this fall.
, 2004)- A late addition to last year's class, Sanders was not offered a scholarship by CU until a week before signing day. He had originally committed to Northern Arizona. Sanders was one of the pleasant surprises this fall. He redshirted and will battle for playing time next year.
, 2003)- The Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson native originally signed with CU from the 2003 class and then greyshirted the next fall. He saw action in 10 games as a freshman this fall. Barrett posted 14 tackles, two quarterbacks and showed tremendous promise for the future.
, 2002)- One of just three two-star prospects from a CU class which ranked 10th in the country, Iwuh made the biggest impact from that class this season. He was a second-team all-Big 12 performer, leading the team with 98 tackles. Iwuh will once again be a key member of the Buffaloes' defense as a senior in 2005.
