BOULDER— Colorado announced yesterday that they have hired their ninth assistant coach in Ross Els. Els arrived in Boulder early Friday morning where he jumped right into spring practices. Els was previously the defensive coordinator at Purdue but now comes to Colorado to work with Coach Mike MacIntyre to help them continue the rise of Colorado Football.

“Awesome. Good people, it’s a good coaching staff, Coach MacIntyre hires good people and they win,” Els said after his second practice with Colorado. “You get a program that has been to a championship game and hopefully get to that next level and win the darn thing. That’s the kind of program you want to be a part of.”

“Glad to get Ross in, he has a great experience and I’m really excited about having him here so it’s good to get him in here and get going,” Coach MacIntyre said when asked about getting Els to Colorado.
