Rewind the tape: Takeaways from Colorado-Nebraska rewatch

Colorado was dealt a slice of humble pie on Saturday night in Lincoln, and now it’s time to pick up the pieces and look towards Colorado State. However, there are some things from last weekend’s beatdown that CU can learn from and improve moving forward.

After taking a second look at the Colorado-Nebraska game, here are five positives, negatives, thoughts and things to tweak.

CU is too hesitant to mix up its personnel groupings

This can go for both sides of the ball, although the Buffs have so many good wide receivers (and not enough good tight ends) that playing a majority of every game in 10 personnel makes a little bit more sense. Does it make them more predictable? Yes. Does it hurt them in the run game? Yes. But it’s the bed that they’ve made with the way that the roster is constructed, and now they have to lay in it.
