Confirmed: Antwine flips to Colorado

Per a report from newsok.com, Colorado flipped the commitment of Oklahoma City (Okla.) Millwood defensive tackle Israel Antwine from Oklahoma State to Colorado.

CUSportsNation.com later confirmed the great news for Colorado.

"I was just thinking about what's best for me and what's the best decision for my future," Antwine told newsok.com. "I saw a chance to play early as a freshman and to spend more time at defensive end which is my favorite position."

Antwine committed to Oklahoma State on October 16, just nine days after he took an official visit to Colorado. However, Colorado never gave up recruiting Antwine and it paid off as the Buffs flipped his commitment the day before National Signing Day.

Colorado coaches and fans alike will be eager to see Antwine sign the dotted line with the Buffaloes, as he can do so on Wednesday at 7 a.m. local time.

Antwine is a much needed prospect as Colorado needs help to solidify the future of the defensive line. At 6-foot-3, 286-pounds, Antwine also feels that he could play this upcoming season.

Antwine ranks as the No. 12 player in the state of Oklahoma and the No. 52 defensive tackle in the country.
