Ryan Moeller who has been battling an ankle issue is getting back to where he needs to be and should be on the field come next Friday.
"He's doing good, Ryan's doing good. He's ready to go, hopefully everything keeps going smooth."
With the first game of the season being Colorado State, the team still is working out some kinks, even the coaches.
"One of the biggest things is all the logistics of game day management, we've done a lot but you have new people in new roles, special teams, different situations. Practicing that enough that the kids feel comfortable, we do it a lot but we got to keep them sharpe so they don't get dull doing it."
Also as previously mentioned in the August Offensive Evaluation the team is still using two kickers, one for field goals and the other for kick-offs and right now that hasn't changed. The team needs to improve on touchbacks this season and not giving other teams the chance to run the ball out on them.
"We've been better, now we just got to be better in a game. We've kicked it pretty well in practice last year we just got to make sure we kick it well in the game."
"We're still looking at it, we'll make a decision first thing next week, we've been having a competition at it, all of them are kicking it better. It's mainly Graham and Diego."
Two more players have also been placed on scholarship, Chris Hill and Aaron Howard have been awarded with scholarships for their senior seasons.
"They've been here four years doing everything they can, they've helped us on different special teams and play some roles on defense and offense. Also they are excellent students, they are going to graduate in December. I'm just really excited about being able to do that for them."
The first game is going to come down to execution. Execution, execution, execution.
"It always goes out the door, execution is the key in every game. You think up things but it's still executing whatever you've called, executing how you do it," Coach MacIntyre on the game plan.
The team hopes they don't have those butterflies the first game but it is always a possibility. They will look to eliminate those errors in order to beat CSU.
