Ambrose happy to be home

It has been just over seven years since Ashley Ambrose coached at Colorado. Since he left following the 2010 season, Ambrose has coached for an NFL team and four different colleges.

It has been a winding road back to Boulder for the former NFL All-Pro, but it's all been worth it to now sleep in his own bed each night.

"My home is still here so it's been good. I've been able to go home every night which is a blessing," explained Colorado cornerbacks coach.

Despite changes in the coaching staff and around the program in general, Ambrose still feels a level of familiarity and comfort being back at CU. That has allowed for all his attention to quickly shift to coaching his new group of cornerbacks.

"I've got some guys that can compete. Guys that want to compete. They are competing with each other and I just want to see them continue to improve," Ambrose said. "I've got some long guys and I'm excited about that. Long guys that can run. I've just got to find the way to get the best out of each and every last one of them."
