The running back group is a somewhat thin at the moment. Only two scholarship players in camp currently had carries last season. Beau Bisharat had 21 and Kyle Evans had 2.

The expectations for the group are still high though. Even with having to replace the production of Mr. Everything Phillip Lindsay according to running backs coach Darian Hagan and redshirt senior Donovan Lee.

"I want all of them to step up. I want all of them getting the opportunity. When I'm standing on the sideline and I just look at one guy or I look at all of them and say 'get in'," explained Hagan. "That's a luxury. To have all of your guys that you trust and they can all go in at anytime and you can get protection. That's what you want."
