The Colorado Buffaloes under Mike MacIntyre did not extend an offer to Parker (Colo.) Legend athlete Trustin Oliver.

With Mel Tucker now head coach in Boulder, Oliver is suddenly a top recruit for the Buffs. On January 19, Oliver announced that he had received an offer from CU.

And on January 23, Oliver announced his commitment to the Buffaloes.

His tweet reads, "Was a long ride but I appreciate all help along the way I will be committing to..." Attached to the tweet is a video with Oliver's highlights and a graphic at the end that shows Oliver and a CU Buffs logo.

"I felt like I was patient and God blessed me with this opportunity," Oliver told CUSportsNation.com earlier this week about receiving the offer from Colorado.

"We set a path that I know I have to get done," he added.

Oliver went on to discuss landing the offer from the Buffs.

"They texted me on Twitter. They saw my film and were really interested in me," Oliver said. "They gave me a call and said I was the prototype SEC player and should be playing in the SEC.

"Since Coach Tuck is coming from Georgia, he said he was trying to create a culture here and wanted me to be a part of it. It's a good opportunity and I appreciate him doing that."

He will officially visit this weekend and he seems locked in on CU.

"I'm going to go to CU this weekend," he said. "CU has been the main focus."

Oliver is listed as an athlete, and the Buffaloes are recruiting him to play safety. He's played a lot of different positions in his football career, noting he's played every position except for offensive and defensive line.

Oliver has not taken any other official visits. Schools such as Utah and BYU had offered him during the course of his recruitment.
