Murrieta Valley (Calif.) quarterback Hank Bachmeier checked out Utah and Colorado this week. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound passer is a four-star recruit in the class of 2019.

"Coach Taylor came to my school and saw me throw," Bachmeier said about Utah. "He wanted me to come out and visit. I went out with my coach and I really liked it a lot. It has a great coaching staff and vibe. Coach Whittingham is a great guy. After that visit, he talked to my coach and they wanted to offer me."

While Utah offered following Bachmeier's visit, Colorado had already extended an offer to Bachmeier when he was a freshman.

"They were my first offer ever," Bachmeier said. "They're awesome coaches - coach Chiaverini and coach Lindgren. They've been on me ever since then; I have a great relationship with them. I really like them a lot.
