Curne bonding with the Colorado staff
Colorado extended an offer to 6-foot-5, 302-pound offensive lineman Victor Curne from Houston (Texas) Second Baptist last week. The Buffaloes joined the likes of Arizona State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, UCLA, and Utah on his offer list.
Curne received the offer from CU inside linebackers coach Ross Els and gave CUSportsNation.com his thoughts about the Buffs.
"Well, I had been in contact with Coach Els for some time, and Coach Adams had visited my school not too long ago," Curne said. "Coach Els gave me the good news [about the offer] himself."
Although Colorado offered Curne later than several other Power Five conference schools did, they are very high on Curne and are showing that by staying in close contact.
"They text me every other day," Curne said. "We get on the phone when we can. They seem like good people to me. I feel like Coach Adams is a good, tough coach that I can learn from, and I feel like throughout the process I can get to know him better."
