The game will begin at 11 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 31 from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.

Per Colorado Sports Information, proceeds from the contest will go to three Lincoln-area organizations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic: the TeamMates mentoring program; the YWCA of Lincoln for its Employ402 program and the Nebraska Greats Foundation.

The Buffs and Huskers have not met since March of 2011, when both programs were members of the Big 12. At that time, the Buffs were preparing to join the Pac-12 Conference while Nebraska went on to join the Big Ten Conference.

“We are excited to bring the Buffs to Lincoln and compete against a familiar foe from our days in both the Big 12 and Big Eight,” Tad Boyle said in a release Monday. “Coach Hoiberg has his program poised for future success and will be a great test for our young team."

"More importantly, we are honored to help raise money for various Lincoln charities who have been negatively affected by the recent pandemic. We look forward to the Cornhuskers returning the favor to the Boulder community next year.”

Dating back to the 1902-1903 season, when CU and Nebraska first faced off on the hardwood, the Huskers hold a 77-71 all-time advantage in the series.
