With just one week until National Signing Day, the Colorado Football Staff is in high gear recruiting and trying to land one or two more big time commits before Wednesday, February 1st. On Monday, Colorado hosted 4-Star Defensive End K'Lavon Chaisson out of Houston, Texas. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound uncommitted target seemed to love his visit to Boulder if you followed him on social media.

USC Commit To Visit

This weekend Colorado will host Terrance Lang out of Maranatha, California. The Rivals.com 3-Star Commit committed to USC in December of 2016, but will be taking his last official visit which is to Boulder just days before National Signing Day.

Currently, Colorado has three defensive end commitments, but with 6-foot-5, 235 pound Shamar Hamilton out of ASA Miami, Florida likely to move to Outside Linebacker heading into spring practice, that means JC transfer Chris Muluma and incoming Freshman Jacob Callier are the two defensive end commits, just to paint the picture on why landing another pass rusher is of importance.

Buffs Also To Host 6-foot-6, 285 Pound Nick Ford

On Tuesday, January 24th 6-foot-6, 285-pound Nick Ford out of San Pedro, CA announced his final four. Utah, CAL, Washington, and Colorado made his top four and he'll announce on Signing Day.

The Class of 2017 Offensive Tackle is rated as a 3-Star Prospect by Rivals.com, but according to Ford he prefers to play on defense as a three-technique.

"It was coach Hagan that offered. He said that I had a full ride and that they'd love to get me out there for a visit," Ford said. "They need a tackle and a D-end - a three-technique because they run that 3-4. They need those two spots, and they asked what I want to play. I said I'd rather play defense, and they said they'll lock me in for that spot."
