Boulder, Colorado - 100/1. Those were the odds at the beginning of the season for the Buffaloes to win the PAC 12 Championship. After Saturday Night’s 27-22 victory over Utah, Colorado is 10-2 and ranked No. 9 in the Country. Head Colorado Football Coach Mike MacIntyre and the Buffs were 1-8 last year in Conference Play, this year they are 8-1, and PAC 12 South Champions.

The Buffs are the surprise of the year in College Football. The Washington Huskies at 11-1 on the year were expected to be headed to Santa Clara, California to play in the PAC 12 Title Game before the season ever started. The Huskies had odds of 3/1 to win the conference in the preseason and they’ve done what people expected them to do early on: Win.

On Sunday, the opening lines at VegasInsider.com listed Washington as a -7 point favorite. It’s a smaller gap than what was predicted by even some Buff fans on the CUSportsNation.com Message Board and while odds can change during the week, don’t be surprised if the gap shrinks one or two points closer. Colorado is 10-2 against the spread this year.

MacIntyre on Washington

"To me, they are one of the most well-rounded teams we've seen all year, there is no doubt about it, they are a really good football team, Coach Petersen has done a good job with them, they have got some really good players."

Offense vs. Defense

The game will feature Colorado’s superb defense which is ranked 12th in the Nation allowing just 323.8 yards per game and just 18.8 points per game

against Washington’s high potent offense that is ranked 17th in the Country and averaging 44.8 points per game, which is third most in the Nation. The Huskies scored 70 against Oregon this year, 66 against Cal, and in their last two games have scored a total of 89 points.

Quarterback Match Up

Washington Sophomore Jake Browning has been incredible this year throwing for 3,162-yards, 40 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, and his completion percentage is right at 65%. In his last 5 games, Browning has thrown for 1,453-yards, threw for 6 touchdowns against Cal and threw the football 44 times against Arizona State.

For Colorado, it’s Senior Sefo Liufau leading the Buffs for the third year in a row at Quarterback. at 6-foto-4, 230 pounds Liufau has thrown for 2,150-yards with 11 touchdowns, 3 interceptions, completion percentage at 64.6%, but his ability to pick up yards on the ground is a key part of the Buffs’ offense. This season Liufau has rushed for 483-yards and 7 scores.
