Ringing in Folsom Field’s 100th year of service, Colorado will play long-time rivals Nebraska and CSU. Before and after those games, Deion Sanders' rebuilt team is in for some difficult challenges.

The Pac-12 released its the conference schedules on Wednesday, presenting the Buffs with four league home games and five away from Boulder. CU kicks off conference play with back-to-back games against AP top-15 teams last season. First, a road game at Oregon on Sept. 23 followed by USC visiting Folsom Field on Sept. 30.

Colorado’s nonconference schedule has been set since 2017 and Sanders' team will be introduced on Sept. 2 when it will take on national runner-up TCU in Fort Worth.

The Buffs’ 2023 Folsom Field debut begins with a duel of first-year head coaches against Matt Rhule’s Cornhuskers followed by a Rocky Mountain Showdown with CSU. This will be Colorado's first encounter with Nebraska and CSU since the 2019 season.

“We're excited about the home schedule we've put together for both the start of the Coach Prime era and the 100th season at Folsom Field," CU Athletic Director Rick George said in a press release. "Having both Nebraska and Colorado State at home for the first time in 18 years, the final game against USC for the foreseeable future and Family Weekend, Homecoming and Senior Day games set, 2023 is shaping up to be one of our most exciting home schedules in a long time."

The other Pac-12 teams that will make the trip to Boulder include Stanford, Oregon State and Arizona. Colorado will hit the road to take on UCLA, Washington State, Arizona State and Utah.

Both Stanford (Oct. 13) and Washington State (Nov. 17) are the Buffs’ two Friday games on the schedule. The Stanford game is also during CU's family weekend then the Buffs will have their bye before UCLA on Oct. 28.

The Oregon State game on Nov. 4 marks CU’s annual homecoming game and Colorado’s Senior Day opponent will be Arizona on Nov. 11.

TV assignments and start times for the nonconference slate will be announced in early June. Conference times and TV assignments will be made known 12 or six days in advance before the game.
