In Colorado’s first week of fall camp, Shedeur Sanders was operating on all cylinders.
Sanders came into camp already grasping, “80 percent,” of offensive coordinator Sean Lewis’ system. His execution and understanding has been on full display all week as he was making high-level passes downfield.
“I'm starting to understand what [Lewis] thinks and how he's thinking, why he's calling certain stuff in his thought process and what to do in each situation that presents itself," Sanders said. "He's giving us all the all the answers to the problems, we just got to solve them because we don't then it's on us.”
Lewis is looking for Sanders to be the problem solver on each play and be able to quickly assess ways to work around coverages. While the receivers have been performing at a high level on their own accord, Sanders has been able to efficiently connect with the pass catchers creating problems for the Buffs secondary.
