Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek cornerback Jonathan Gipson has had a whirlwind of a spring that included several college visits.
He checked out Indiana, Cincinnati, Toledo, Ohio State, Tennessee, Clemson, and Louisville.
"The spring has been exciting," Gipson said. "I met a lot of coaches throughout the process. It's been a blessing."
Gipson's offer list has steadily been growing. He has been in touch with Colorado's secondary coach Shadon Brown since before Brown ever arrived at Colorado.
Gipson's brother, Joe Thomas, who signed with Air Force in the class of 2017, was recruited by Brown at Army.
"I've known [Brown] since; he's been recruiting me," Gipson said.
Their relationship has grown strong.
"I would say it's built day by day," Gipson said. "With me knowing him for so long, he's played a mentor role for me."
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound three-star cornerback was excited to land the CU offer, which gives him the opportunity to play in the same state as his brother for his college football career.
