Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Benjamin School cornerback Kaiir Elam is one of the top uncommitted defensive backs left in the country. He has a handful of schools that he's still looking at.

"Florida, Georgia, Miami, and either Colorado, Oregon, Tennessee, and Ohio State," Elam said during an interview with Rivals.com at the Under Armour All-America game registration regarding his top schools.

Florida and Georgia are considered to be the frontrunners in Elam's recruitment. He will officially visit both schools in January. Miami is also a favorite, and he's already officially visited the Hurricanes and also is considering taking an unofficial visit there in January.

For a school like Colorado, the Buffaloes are in the mix as Elam was recruited by Mel Tucker when he was the defensive coordinator at Georgia.

"Coach Tucker said he believed I should be rated as one of the top three corners in the country based on my film and skill set. He told me he needs a guy like me," Elam said in an interview back in April.

It seems with his fourth and fifth official visits, he plans to check out Colorado and Oregon. He may have to use midweek visits to check out those two before announcing his decision on National Signing Day.

"There are such good choices of schools. I'm just going to let my next two visits help me and pick after that," Elam said.
