"I'm excited where were at, I still think we can use the rest of these days leading up to the Colorado State game to fine tune some things but I'm excited about the way we are operating and the grasp that Sefo has had through the first couple weeks."
The offensive line has slowly started to get into their rhythm and they are starting to find that solid five guys that will be able to communicate up there and help the team this year while on offense.
Coach Lindgren is happy with where they are right now.
"The offensive line, we've had some consistency upfront during the camp but I'm pleased with the physicality up there."
The running backs are also going to help the offensive tremendously this year. Phillip Lindsay is a work horse in the backfield and he knows he needs to be that this year in order for the team to be successful.
Last year the team ran 2,453 yards but 422 on those yards weren't for a gain. They will need to make an adjustment in that area.
"I like out running backs a lot, those guys have done a nice job, they've made some people miss, turn some things into big runs."
With Sefo Liufau coming back healthy this season, Lindgren has liked the way he's seen the quarterbacks play this season.
"I think were playing more consistent on the parameter with our quarterbacks and receivers are throwing and catching the ball and making the right decisions. I'm excited about where were at."
For the improvement on the offense, finding consistency in every practice and everyday out there is something the Buffs need to focus on.
"Just the consistency day to day of coming out and being sharp right from the start. Not wasting any opportunities. I think thats the thing we still have, theres a period here or a couple of plays that we'ed like to have back during the course of practice and just holding our guys to the standard that we can't take any plays off."
This year the team doesn't have any games to get their feet wet before they take on Colorado State, but Lindgren doesn't mind it.
"It's a big game, it's in state here, our guys, particularly the Colorado guys always enjoy playing it, theres a different energy level, I think it's a fun deal for the state."
The team will continue to prepare for the Colorado State game these next few days so they can come out ready to play and get their first win of the season.
