Day one at Colorado Spring Camp meant defensive lineman were available to the media and each beat writer in attendance asked for the same player. Redshirt freshman defensive end Terrance Lang.
Even for the new guy covering the Buffs it is pretty easy to understand why. When you scroll down the spring roster, Lang immediately jumps off the page.
6-foot-7, 275 pounds.
And according to Mike MacIntyre it's all muscle.
"Doesn't have an ounce of fat on him," said the Colorado head coach.
"We'd like to gain him a little more weight, but we want him to be able to run like he can run," continued MacIntyre. "He's extremely athletic."
The former USC commit has had Colorado coaches and fans excited since spurning the Trojans for the Buffs.
New defensive line coach Kwahn Drake has not had much time to work with Lang or his fellow defensive lineman to date. Despite that, Drake is excited about potential the unit posses.
"To be honest with you, I'm really anxious to see how all of them are going to grow," he said. "I don't have a tweak one way or the other for any individual ones by themselves. I know I have a lot of guys and they have some talent. I'm really excited to see them grow and continue to work with them."
