In very recruiting class under Mike MacIntyre at Colorado since 2014, the Buffs have gotten their quarterback commitment before the start of their senior seasons.
Ty Evans is continuing that trend, as the Monument (Colo.) Palmer Ridge quarterback committed to Colorado on Monday.
Evans was formerly committed to Arkansas but backed off of that pledge after the Razorbacks had a coaching change. Colorado instantly got back in the mix with Evans, and the rest is history.

"I've been going to Colorado camps since I was like six," Evans told CUSportsNation.com after he received the offer from the Buffs last June. "It was a goal for me; I always told my dad that I would play here one day. It was a goal achieved in my life."
Evans is rated as a 5.7 three-star prospect, which is one notch below four-star status. He ranks as the No. 2 overall prospects in the state of Colorado and as the No. 9 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2019.
Evans also held offers from Colorado State, Kansas State, N.C. State, and Northwestern.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder led Palmer Ridge to a 14-0 perfect season, capped off by a 3A state championship.
Evans completed 218-of-349 passes for 3,627 yards and 42 touchdowns. Evans also added eight rushing touchdowns. He was named the 2017-18 Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year.
