THE COMMITMENT

Hailassie earned an offer from Colorado after performing at a satellite camp at Sacramento State. The Buffs instantly jumped to the top of Hailassie's list.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound 2018 prospect also held offers from Fresno State, Hawaii, Nevada, Northern Arizona, San Jose State, UNLV, and Wyoming.

There wasn't much drama in Hailassie's recruitment. He received the offer, he visited, and he committed.

Hailassie made it to Boulder late on Friday night and enjoyed his time on Saturday for the Buffs' annual BBQ recruiting event, which is where the Buffs' staff hosts their top commits and targets for a big get-together.

This year's BBQ didn't have a great deal of quantity, but the quality was certainly there. Hailassie made his pledge on Saturday, and we expect more news to come in the next couple of days.
