A very early look at the 2018-19 Colorado basketball team

The Colorado men's basketball team wrapped up the 2017-18 season without making it to a postseason tournament, which is the first time that has happened under Tad Boyle. The 17-15 overall record wasn't pretty, but the young Buffs a lot of promise for the future.

CUSportsNation.com breaks down what the team will look like next year.

Who's gone?

In a video that the Colorado basketball twitter account posted on Sunday, Boyle thanked Dom Collier, George King, Josh Repine, and even Tory Miller-Stewart as the seniors on the team. Miller-Stewart has not decided whether or not he'll return as he is eligible for a medical redshirt to stay one more year at Colorado. Miller-Stewart did take in senior day festivities but that doesn't mean he's not coming back. For the purposes of this article, we're going to assume he's not coming back, and if he does, it's a giant cherry on top of this team.

Who's coming in?

The Buffs signed a pair of three-star guards in Daylen Kountz and Elijah Parquet, who both committed to the program back in September and signed in November of 2017. It will be interesting to see if Parquet is able to come in and be the backup point guard to McKinley Wright.

Although Evan Battey has been on campus for a year now, he redshirted in 2017 because he was ruled ineligible by the NCAA. He should come in and make a big impact on the team, but he did suffer a medical emergency in January. We wish him the best as he recovers.
