On Sunday July 24th Colorado landed their 15th commitment from Miami, Florida. Shamar Hamilton a 6-foot-5, 235 pound defensive end pledged to the Buffs. CUSportsNation.com's Christian James provides 10 quick takeaways from the JC commit.

1.) Colorado was the only offer but.....The Buffs made it clear earlier than others who they liked in the junior college ranks and are not afraid to offer. That was the case with Moorpark defensive back Jalin Burrell who committed in the summer. Hamilton's lone offer was from Colorado but he had a wide net of others watching to see his progress this fall.

2.) In football years, Hamilton is a baby

The majority of football players who head to the Division I level have probably logged around ten years before going to college. Hamilton played one season at Santaluces High School and his lack of experience may have cost him a chance at this level after high school but did not hamper his ability to get an opportunity in a power five conference.
