For the Class of 2015 (MacIntyre's third recruiting class) really the second which he put together, the Class has an overall record of 14-13, and reaching the Alamo Bowl game this past season. Overall the Class was ranked 72nd by Rivals.com but has proved to have some players rise up and contribute on Saturdays.

Carrell started every game for Colorado this year at Defensive End. Without question, Carrell was one of the most dependable down linemen playing in 695 total plays and recording a total of 51 tackles in 2016. Carrell was second on the team in sacks with 5 1/2 and had 13 quarterback pressures.

As a Red-Shirt Freshman, this past season Lynott had a very strong year. In 2016 he started in every game for Colorado playing in a total of 940 plays, which was the most plays out of any Colorado Offensive Linemen. He accumulated 2,251.5 offensive points (most on team), had 9 knockdown blocks, and was in on 14 passing plays for touchdowns. With Senior Alex Kelley graduating, it's likely Lynott moves over from guard to center for the 2017 season.

Steven Montez played in 10 games an RS-Freshman this past season and was very productive for the Buffs having to step up multiple times for injured starter Sefo Liufau. Now at 6-foot-5, 230 pounds, Montez threw for 1,017-yards and 9 touchdowns. He had a percentage of 60.3 and also rushed for 231-yards with one touchdown. Montez started against Oregon and threw for 333-yards with 3 touchdowns and also ran for over 100-yards earning the PAC 12 Offensive Player of the Week.

Afolabi Laguda really stepped up this season for Colorado. One of the hardest hitters on the team played in 13 games this year at safety, a total number of plays he was in on was 792. In 13 games he recorded 80 tackles and had 6 pass breakups and one interception. You could likely see Laguda playing more nickel this coming season.

Haigler saw plenty of times this season for Colorado. The offensive tackle played in 11 out of 14 games this season (548 total plays) (6 starts at right tackle) and recorded 4 knockdowns. His game improved greatly towards the later end of conference play and along with Tim Lynott be one of the top RS-Sophomores in 2017. Big future ahead for him.

Only a sophomore this past season Oliver played in 13 games in 2016 and record 25 tackles and 13 pass breakups which was third most on the team. With Chidobe Awuzie and Ahkello Witherspoon leaving the program, Oliver should be that next big time corner to fill those large voids. Oliver is also a very dangerous punt returner and returned 14 punts for 164-yards including a 68-yard punt return for a touchdown against UCLA.

Another sophomore defensive secondary player on the rise for the Buffs. In 2016 Fisher stepped up when called on. He played in 12 games this past season and earned PAC 12 Defensive Player of the Week during Colorado's Nationally Televised Win over Washington State. During the game he made 6 tackles and three third down stops during pivotal moments stepping in for an injured Ryan Moeller. We're expecting him to fight for a starting role in 2017.

Played in 9 games this season and we likely are seeing only the tip of the iceberg on how good of a player Falo is going to be for Colorado. He recorded 12 tackles and 4 third down stops. At times he looked to be flying down the field like a missile and plays really amped up. Will be fighting for one of the outside linebacker spots this spring.
