1. Is this team better than its 3-0 record? How shocked are you that they started the season so poorly?
No, all three teams the Bruins played deserved the victory. The opposition made plays and the Bruins didn’t. I’m very shocked that the team has started so poorly, but I probably shouldn’t be. UCLA has had a ton of players transfer out, and that has continued up to his very moment depleting depth and forcing a lot of young players to learn on the job. Sophomore QB Devon Modster decided to transfer during the bye week. So there are a lot of growing pains that will help in the future, but for the moment there are lots of bumps and bruises.
