Jones is an interesting defensive end target for Colorado, primarily because Chris Wilson is leading the charge on his recruitment. It's been pretty regular the last few months to see Brian Michalowski offering a lot of DEs, with the intention of playing them in space when they'd get to Colorado, whereas Wilson has focused his recruiting efforts primarily towards the interior of the trenches.

His offer sheet should speak for itself. Schools that issued scholarship offers but didn't make the cut of his Top 5 included: Arizona, Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and Washington State.

In total, the three-star 2021 prospect attracted nearly 30 offers in total. Colorado and Wilson dished out the offer to him back in late April.

Jones has an impressively quick twitch release and pop off the line of scrimmage and how he pedals plus uses his hands to overwhelm offensive linemen seems to point to a pretty refined mechanical base.

With Nathan Rawlins-Kibonge off the market now, Jones is a new DE target to keep an eye on in the coming weeks. Colorado currently has one defensive lineman committed to its Class of 2021 in Allan Baugh.
