Monument (Colo.) Palmer Ridge 2019 quarterback Ty Evans committed Arkansas a few months back, but as the coaching carousel spinned, the Razorbacks fired their Bret Bielema.

That left Evans committed to a school without a head coach, so he decided to step back from his pledge and open up his recruitment.

"I had heard rumors and seen stuff on Twitter leading up to it," Evans said about Bielema leaving Arkansas. "I was hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. The coaches were a big part of me committing to Arkansas. I love the state, the program, and the school itself, but at the end of the day, the coaching staff and who you're going to be with everyday is a big part of why you commit to a school.

"It's not me closing the door on Arkansas, but I just need to do what's best for Ty and play for a coach that really wants me there. It was really my worst nightmare coming true because I had such a great relationship with the coaching staff."
