Washington was just flat out the better football team
Across the board, it's hard to argue that Colorado was better than Washington in any area on Saturday night. While Colorado came out with fire and jumped out to a 7-0 lead and hung in tough in the first half, the Buffaloes were outclassed in the second half.
Washington quarterback Jake Browning didn't even have that good of a game for the Huskies. He finished the game completing 11-of-21 passes for 160 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The UW rushing attack pounded the Colorado defense, especially late in the game, as they recorded 254 yards and three touchdowns on 39 carries.
Washington put the game out of reach at 31-10 in the fourth quarter, and to do that, they had a seven play, 61 yard drive that took 3:37 off the clock. All seven plays were run plays. The Colorado defense was completely gassed and you hate to say that they "gave up," but it surely looked that way.
Offense, defense, special teams, coaching - the edge went to Washington once again.
