Senn talks Colorado pledge

In June, the Buffs landed a new offensive line commitment from 6-foot-7, 280-pounder Valentin Senn, who is from Austria.

He made a summer trip to the United States to visit a handful of schools and impressed the Colorado coaching staff on his way to earning a scholarship offer.

A couple of weeks after being offered by the Buffs, Senn announced his decision to commit to CU.

"I think it's a great football program and the business school is also approved," Senn said. "It just felt right."

As mentioned, Senn visited a few different schools while in the US, including UCONN and Buffalo. He liked Colorado the most.

"Comparing [Colorado] to the ones I saw, it's the most beautiful," Senn said. "It was also new for me playing sports in the high altitude, but I can really get used to that. I love the mountains."

In the short time he was able to spend with the Colorado coaching staff, he really enjoyed himself and keeps in touch with them regularly.

"It was great working with Coach [Klayton] Adams. He always keeps me up to date," said Senn. "I had some nice talks to Coach [Mike] MacIntyre and Coach [DJ] Eliot.

Senn reports that he's finishing up school in Austria and will have his last exam in June. After he's finished, he plans to get to Colorado as soon as possible.

"My intentions as a player are to always give my best and to support the team," Senn said.
